Fall Maintenance with HomeAdvisor - Project Details

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own

Remember the other day when I discussed using HomeAdvisor to complete our Fall Maintenance Project? Well, yesterday was the day!

The project we chose to have done was having our Furnace serviced since the outside maintenance is covered by our HOA fees. After first contacting Ted from Minuteman Heating and Cooling, we decided to complete the project on October 22. Ted arrived promptly at the time we chose and quickly got to work and explained in detail what he would be doing, looking for and cleaning.

Here's a quick story...we bought our house in May, so both of us were thinking it was going to be a five-minute job since it is a brand new furnace...WRONG!

Ted thankfully cleaned out a ton (more than he has ever seen) of sawdust and SPARE PARTS from our furnace. Yeah, not kidding either. We are so thankful to Ted and HomeAdvisor because who knows what would have happened this winter with sawdust and washers blocking the furnace...

We will definitely work with Ted again since he was very professional, kind and a hard worker.

Project: Service our Furance for the Fall
Date: October 22, 2013
Time: 1 hour
Price: $159 ($188 below the average quote)

Here's HomeAdvisor's Top 5 Fall Maintenace Task List:

  1. Winterize your sprinkler
  2. Clean gutters and downspouts
  3. Get your furnace serviced
  4. Get weather stripping installed
  5. Have your chimney cleaned

So how have you prepared for Fall? No, I don't mean buying pumpkins...how have you prepared your home? I highly recommend to get the above tasks completed and use the Cost Guide on HomeAdvisor to see how much things will costs. They were a joy to work with and the entire process was stress free.
